Joana Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige use various visual languages, concentrating their artistic practice on images and representations and the history of their native country, Lebanon, and on the fabrication of imaginaries and stories related to that country and the region around it, an area marked by violence and sectarian conflicts, pursuing their desire to redefine the systems of representation and thus to question the concepts of identity, memory, the individual and society.
